SILICON SHEET PROCESSING

  • Silicon Sheet

The Situation

The client needed a partner with the capability to process silicon sheets for magnetic shielding in RF enclosures. Further, the project required a quick turnaround to avoid job site disruptions where the silicon sheets were to be installed.

The Solution

QuikCut utilized a turret press capable of processing the silicon sheets at a high volume to meet the time-sensitive demand of the client, ensuring non-disruption of the job sites.

Success

By obtaining the all necessary tooling for processing on our in-house turret press, the client’s quality and delivery needs were met. Ultimately, the client was happy with the finished parts and consistency, allowing for seamless job site installations.

PARTNERSHIP
VS. VENDORSHIP

A vendor accepts a drawing, goes straight to production, hands you the final product and moves to the next customer. To us, that’s like greeting someone without a smile and a kind word – we just wouldn’t do it that way. At QuikCut, we know that when you succeed, we succeed, which is why we want to be a partner, not a vendor.

We educate ourselves on the product’s end-use so we can add as much value as possible. We look at the big picture and ask questions like – Is this design safe? Is this the most efficient way to fabricate this? Could this part be formed instead of being welded? Because so many of our capabilities are in-house, our internal communication is top-notch. It’s not uncommon for our welders to be brought into the quoting process to make recommendations, and later, keep the customer’s specific needs top of mind while the work is being done.

At the end of the day, our goal is to deliver
beyond expectations.
