ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURE STRUCTURE

  • Modular Structures

The Situation

The client approached QuikCut with design and production needs for their projected high demand storage unit, used to house electrical equipment. More specifically, the large units needed to include internal and external mounting structures, and proper sealing to withstand environmental conditions across North America.

The Solution

QuikCut designed a modular solution to meet the design and manufacturability requirements. To ensure future serviceability and expansion of the product, our team anticipated additional capacity and technologies.

Success

Through substantial collaboration with the client, including onsite meetings, QuikCut helped the client determine the ideal design of their innovative modular storage unit – resulting in the successful production of a hearty product approved by our Fortune 500 end-user.

PARTNERSHIP
VS. VENDORSHIP

A vendor accepts a drawing, goes straight to production, hands you the final product and moves to the next customer. To us, that’s like greeting someone without a smile and a kind word – we just wouldn’t do it that way. At QuikCut, we know that when you succeed, we succeed, which is why we want to be a partner, not a vendor.

We educate ourselves on the product’s end-use so we can add as much value as possible. We look at the big picture and ask questions like – Is this design safe? Is this the most efficient way to fabricate this? Could this part be formed instead of being welded? Because so many of our capabilities are in-house, our internal communication is top-notch. It’s not uncommon for our welders to be brought into the quoting process to make recommendations, and later, keep the customer’s specific needs top of mind while the work is being done.

At the end of the day, our goal is to deliver
beyond expectations.
