COMMUNICATION STRUCTURE SUBCOMPONENTS AND D.O.T. PRODUCTS

  • Sheet/Plate Cutting

The Situation

A valued partner since 2008, the client initially approached QuikCut with their need for challenging components, each having unique requirements from the Department of Transportation.

The Solution

To determine the optimal production method, QuikCut worked closely with the client and the end-user. Ultimately, a technology investment was made to ensure our capacity to meet the unique needs of the client.

Success

With complexity comes great reward. Since 2008, QuikCut has continued to serve the client – producing precision parts with quick turnaround times. In addition to delivering the initial ask, QuikCut added technology specific to their needs which created new business opportunities for both the client and QuikCut.

PARTNERSHIP
VS. VENDORSHIP

A vendor accepts a drawing, goes straight to production, hands you the final product and moves to the next customer. To us, that’s like greeting someone without a smile and a kind word – we just wouldn’t do it that way. At QuikCut, we know that when you succeed, we succeed, which is why we want to be a partner, not a vendor.

We educate ourselves on the product’s end-use so we can add as much value as possible. We look at the big picture and ask questions like – Is this design safe? Is this the most efficient way to fabricate this? Could this part be formed instead of being welded? Because so many of our capabilities are in-house, our internal communication is top-notch. It’s not uncommon for our welders to be brought into the quoting process to make recommendations, and later, keep the customer’s specific needs top of mind while the work is being done.

At the end of the day, our goal is to deliver
beyond expectations.
